Tengu recently had it with the outside world. The humans seemed to grow harsher and harsher to the robots as of late and he grew tired of it. Tengu came home one day with dented armor because some children thought it would be funny to throw rocks at him…big ones. He didn’t fight back either, as he didn’t want to make a scene or hurt them. He very well could’ve blown them on top of a building but why bother? He’d be arrested.
Instead, he chose isolation.
He opened the door and closed it behind him, hugging Pluto and sighing, speaking softly. “I love you my darling, but the outside world is cruel to us. We cannot go out there any more. Let’s stay here and be safe in my forest and home, where no human can attack us or harm us. We will be free robots here, not there. The city is where we are slaves.”
He took his mask off and kissed her forehead gently, gently scratching behind her ears and smiling slightly. To live in a beautiful home with his bride, away from the cruel world…he could live with that.
